Community Conversation & Art Workshop with Oshii
Date: Tuesday, 12th December
Time: 12:30 pm - 4:30 pm
Location: Bristol Beacon
Join us for a unique opportunity to participate in the creation of a major new artwork for Bristol’s Centre Promenade! Bristol-born artist Oshii, known for his dynamic, community-focused art, invites you to be part of this exciting transformation. Drop in any time between 12:30 pm and 4:30 pm to preview early concepts for the artwork, take part in a collage workshop led by Oshii, and share your thoughts on how the artwork can best reflect the spirit of Bristol and its diverse communities. Artworks created during the session may even be incorporated into the final design!
About the Project:
In partnership with the Bristol Legacy Foundation and Bristol City Centre BID, Oshii’s artwork—tentatively titled "Common Ground"—will celebrate Bristol’s multicultural heritage with vibrant colours, playful shapes, and interactive features. This workshop is a chance to help shape the artwork’s final design, ensuring that the ideas and values of the community are at the heart of the revitalised Centre Promenade.
Whether you’re a local resident, business owner, or community member, your voice matters. This is a chance to contribute to a public artwork that will be enjoyed by all.
