Our Structure
The Bristol Legacy Foundation consists of a Legacy Group made of community leaders from African Heritage Communities and the Partnership Group, which consists of partner organisations:

The purpose of the Partnership Group is to align responses to reparatory justice across the city.

There are four Task Groups which lead on various strands of the Foundation’s work:
Memorialisation
Remit: Focusing on creating permanent and unchanging site(s) of commemoration
Reparatory Justice
Remit: To facilitate a relationship between African Heritage Communities, Bristol City Council and other stakeholders to progress the Atonement and Reparations Motion passed by Full Council on March 2nd, 2023 and commit to working within principles central to reparatory processes when working in solidarity and recognising the agency of African Heritage Communities in defining and implementing our own visions of global community repairs.
Partnerships, Investments and Resources
Remit: Will focus on building partnerships, finding investments and resource support for the Bristol Legacy Foundation’s activities.
Story-House
Remit: Will focus on delivering a museum or story-house which explores the
lives, histories and futures of the peoples affected by the TTEA which needs to be
ever-changing and self-renewing,
